Graduation
Graduation means that you have successfully fulfilled your degree requirements and you are eligible to receive your diploma. You must apply for graduation so that the Office of the Registrar may perform a degree audit on your academic record.
Commencement Ceremony
The Commencement Ceremony is an event that is held at conclusion of the spring semester to celebrate those students who are candidates for graduation. Only those students who have applied to graduate will be invited to the Commencement Ceremony. An invitation and/or attendance at the Commencement Ceremony is not an indication that you have officially completed your degree.
